How BB Gym works
What you can do here
BB Gym offers short exercises and strategy games involving memory, attention, rules, numbers and words. Choose a task, read its instructions and play a round. The result screen gives feedback on that activity. Repeated attempts let you compare strategies and performance in the same exercise. BB Gym is an educational and entertainment service.
Six categories of tasks
Every exercise is mapped to one or more of six base cognitive skills, and your results fill a six-axis "skills radar" so you can see your own shape at a glance:
- Memory — holding and reproducing information, mostly visual-spatial here (what was where).
- Attention — concentration, noticing detail and resisting distraction.
- Processing speed — how quickly your brain takes in information and reacts.
- Cognitive flexibility — switching between rules and adapting your approach on the fly.
- Problem solving — deduction, spotting patterns and building a strategy.
- Language — processing the written word and verbal-visual control.
How the radar groups results
The app groups exercises under six skill labels and displays scores on a radar. A trainer contributes to the categories assigned to its task; other axes can remain dimmed. These assignments describe the game mechanics. The radar is a summary of your game results, not an independently validated measurement of six general abilities. A mixed test combines several tasks, with the same limitation.
How to read a score
Scoring depends on the exercise. Trainers may combine correct answers, errors, time and difficulty into a score; strategy games can use their own round results. Read the rules for the activity you choose. Compare repeated attempts with the same mode, difficulty and input device. A higher number can reflect a better strategy or greater familiarity with the task; scores from different games are not interchangeable measurements.
Difficulty and access
All trainers and difficulty levels are available for free, and registration is not required to start. Available modes vary by exercise. Some change the amount of information to compare or remember; others change timing or game rules. Read the selected mode before comparing results. Premium offers additional statistics; the current price and billing conditions are shown before purchase.
What the results mean
A result describes performance on a particular game under particular conditions. It is not an IQ score, diagnosis or medical assessment. Practice can improve familiarity and performance within an exercise; BB Gym does not promise that this transfers to unrelated abilities, health or everyday tasks. Fatigue, distractions, language and input device can influence a session, so avoid drawing broad conclusions from one score.
Getting started
Browse the trainer catalogue, choose an activity and read its rules before starting. Play a round at a comfortable difficulty, check the feedback, then try changing one part of your approach. The training guides explain task types and ways to approach them. You can also open the gym directly.
